Charter Communications filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in March 2009 and emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2009. Prior to joining Charter Communications, Mr. Smit was President of AOL Access and held various leadership positions at Nabisco and Pillsbury
