Hudbay Minerals Management Efficiency

Hudbay Minerals has Return on Asset of 0.37 % which means that on every $100 spent on asset, it made $0.37 of profit. This is way below average. In the same way, it shows return on shareholders equity (ROE) of (15.39) %, meaning that it generated no profit with money invested by stockholders. Hudbay Minerals management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well the company manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. The value of Return on Average Assets is estimated to pull down to -0.06. The value of Return on Average Equity is estimated to pull down to -0.16. Hudbay Minerals Average Assets are relatively stable at the moment as compared to the past year. The company's current value of Average Assets is estimated at 4.86 Billion. Tangible Asset Value is expected to hike to about 4.8 B this year, although the value of Asset Turnover will most likely fall to 0.32.
The company has 1.26 B in debt with debt to equity (D/E) ratio of 0.85, which is OK given its current industry classification. Hudbay Minerals has a current ratio of 1.26, demonstrating that it is not liquid enough and may have problems paying out its financial commitments when the payables are due. Debt can assist Hudbay Minerals until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Hudbay Minerals' shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Hudbay Minerals sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Hudbay to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Hudbay Minerals' use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
