In 2005, he was named Lilly President and Chief Operating Officer and joined the Board of Directors. Dr. Lechleiter is a member of the American Chemical Society. He serves on the boards of United Way Worldwide and the Indiana Economic Development Corporationrationration. He is a member emeritus of the board of the Central Indiana Corporationrationrate Partnership.
